Marc Zaller, President - World Courier Ground / National Logistics Group
Marc joined World Courier, Inc. in 1985. Working out of their Boston office in an Exe cutive Sales capacity, he opened the first World Courier Metro office in Boston in 1986. Over the next several years he drove a geographical based expansion, and was promoted to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1995. In 1998 he was promoted to President of World Courier Metro, and the organization was renamed to World Courier Ground.
Marc obtained a BA from Evergreen State College and is working on his Masters.
Brenda A Sturm, Manager
Transportation industry knowledge and expertise is part of Brenda’s DNA; for 38 years and still counting her father has been with New England Motor Freight, and Brenda started her career in 1987 as a billing clerk with the same firm. After a short time she was promoted to Customer Service Representative, and then helped train new hires.
In 1991 she moved on to C & E Transportation in Pawtucket, RI. She continued in Customer Service, and was later promoted to Accounts Receivable Manager, Office Manager and then Terminal Manager. As Terminal Manager, Brenda ran the daily operations of a 24/7 operation with 50 drivers, and 15 office and dock personnel.
Brenda joined the National Logistics Group in 2004 as Dispatcher, and quickly progressed to Operations Manager.
Brenda has studied Computer Science at the Community College of Rhode Island, and Transportation at Bryant College. She has also completed various OSHA
and DOT courses.
Rob Golin, Director of Business Development
Rob’s background includes operational, sales and executive management experience in the Courier/Messenger, Logistics and Airline industries.
He has over 20 years experience in the ground, air and 3PL industries working for top companies in each field. Rob has also been a partner in a 3PL non-asset based business and a courier company as well. He has been published in several leading transportation/logistics magazines and has been a speaker at numerous conferences. Rob is an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the National Transportation and Logistics Association (NTLA).
Most recently, Rob was President of BusinessBuilders, a consulting company that specialized in Business Development, Marketing and Financial Analysis for transportation and logistics companies.
Justin Weathers, Director of Information Systems and Technology
Justin began his professional career in the transportation industry with Gofer Courier in Atlanta in 1989. He quickly moved through the ranks from downtown messenger, to customer service rep and then administrative manager. When World Courier Ground acquired Gofer Courier in 1995, Justin stayed on and to this day remains as the only “Gofer” on our staff. Shortly after the acquisition, Justin was promoted to the position of MIS and relocated to Boston in 1999. Since that time he has led World Courier Ground and the National Logistics Group through many technological upgrades and implementations, including a secure and intuitive real time online system for clients. He also upgraded our operations system with a sleeker state of the art program, and has been responsible for the implementation of redundant power sources and ISPs to maintain true and fail safe 24/7/365 operation. As a reflection of his achievements, and the importance of technology to our clients, Justin was promoted to the Director of IS/IT. He is a member of the NEISG and has attended numerous technical courses, acquiring a multitude of certifications in Unix, MS, Cisco and security disciplines. He majored in Computer Science with a minor in Geology at Georgia State University.
Wayne Simpson, Client Services Manager
Wayne began his career in the transportation industry in 1978 as a Service Supervisor with Bax Global, where he was responsible for air and ground deliveries in the Boston market.
In 1992 he moved on to Associated Global Systems where he supervised daily operations and customer service staff, and was promoted in 1993 to Service Manager. In 1997 he was again promoted, this time to the position of Regional Logistics Manager. In this role he created and implemented 3rd party parts distribution, inventory and return programs at client locations or at offsite managed locations to customer specific requirements.
He joined the National Logistics Group in 2004 as Business Manager, and was responsible for daily operations and staff. As the business grew, shortly thereafter he assumed the role of Client Services Manager.
