Minneapolis MN Specialty Logistics

Watkins, a direct selling company based in Minnesota, recently completed negotiations with a major distributor in China and the U.S. Commercial Service in China and Minnesota provided invaluable assistance beginning at the due diligence stage, winding through the regulatory process all the way through to a grand opening which featured Watkins products in China. The firm manufactures and distributes consumer products including over 350 personal and household items, and a complete line of gourmet specialty foods.

Watkins originally approached the U.S. Commercial Service in Minnesota asking for information on a potential distributor in China. The Commercial Service office then provided counseling and through its international company profile search, determined that Henan Zhonglu Wuliu, a major retail supplier in Henan and surrounding provinces, was an excellent candidate for a partnership with Watkins, reinforcing Watkins confidence to move forward.

Since then, in less than one year, Henan Zhonglu Wuliu has established a strong identity with Watkins, and has ordered and received significant quantities of product which are already on display for sale at their 1.1 million square foot distribution center in ZhengZhou and their first store which also opened in ZhengZhou in May 2005.
