Phoenix AZ Specialty Logistics

The Logistics Bureau oversees the Department's vehicle fleet for the build up, maintenance, repair and disposal of over 1,800 vehicles and is responsible for internal mail service, supply warehouses, print shop, forms, and all capital inventory.
Logistics Administration Section

Issues and tracks gas credit cards
Maintains the Fleet Management System (FMGT) for tracking the Department vehicle inventory.
Establishes contacts, purchases and provides first-aid, office and field supplies to enforcement and support staff through the main Supply Warehouse.
Tracks capital and accountable equipment using Capital Outlay System (KAPO) for department inventory and the USAS fixed asset system.
Develops, modifies and maintains department forms for use by department employees.
Provides mail service for the Department.
Provides printing services for the Department.
Coordinates disposal of surplus department equipment through auction, sale, transfer to another law enforcement or criminal justice agency, trade-in and general disposal via DOA State Surplus Property.

Material Resources Section

Procures and issues vehicles for enforcement and support.
Fabricates and installs police, emergency and specialty equipment in department vehicles.
Establishes contacts and provides automotive parts and supplies to field offices and fleet maintenance shops through the Fleet Supply Warehouse.
Conducts the registration, titling and licensing of all department vehicles.
Assists other law enforcement agencies by providing surplus equipment, buildup services and technical information.

Fleet Services Section

Provides vehicle maintenance, repairs and services statewide.
Provides expertise to accident investigators by performing extensive mechanical inspections of vehicles involved in homicides or fatal crashes.
Provides fuel through department fuel sites, Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) fuel sites and through a statewide credit card system.
Coordinates disposal of vehicles.
