The Trenton U.S. Export Assistance Center1, in partnership with the Mid-Atlantic District Export Council2, is pleased to announce the Complying with U.S. Export Controls Conference and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Workshop to be held at Trump Taj Mahal Atlantic City3 in April 2007.

The Complying with U.S. Export Controls two-day program is led by Business and Industry Security (BIS) professional counseling staff and provides an in-depth examination of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The program will cover the latest up to date information exporters need to know to comply with U.S. export control requirements on commercial goods.

The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) one-day Workshop (ITAR) is a set of United States government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List. It is important for exporters to make correct determinations of the defense article status of their products. Virtually all exports of defense articles require export licenses and that defense article exports made without such export licenses place the relevant exporter in violation of the ITAR – even in those instances when the exporter did not know that his or her product qualified as a defense article!
